  • EUIPO Academic Initiatives

The EUIPO Academy is responsible for IP dissemination within the academic community and creates links and common activities between students, trainees and universities. Through its different academic initiatives, the Academy promotes innovative onsite and online programmes to boost IP awareness and education amongst its academic stakeholders.

    Pan-European Seal Professional Traineeship Programme

Through the PES programme, university members may nominate recent high-achieving university graduates to apply for a year-long, paid traineeship at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in Alicante, Spain or the European Patent Office (EPO) in Munich, Germany. Trainees participate in a variety of professionalisation activities and events throughout the year.

Are you a student interested in applying for the PES traineeship? Visit the EUIPO Traineeship page.

    Talent Bank

The EUIPO and the EPO created an online platform, the PES Talent Bank, specifically for the PES programme. This platform allows public and private organisations, institutions and entities to offer traineeships or jobs to EUIPO PES alumni who are still seeking career opportunities.

Are you an organisation interested in the Talent Bank? Visit the PES Talent Bank page.

Network of IP Academies activities (NIPA)

NIPA consists of PES university members, the Talent Bank associate partners and the national IP offices. EU institutions and European university networks can also join as observers.

NIPA has developed several initiatives for its members in recent years:

    • virtual university visits
    • e-learning material
    • online courses
    • further career opportunities
