Recording of the Trade Mark examination training for examiners. Topics covered practical organisational measures to manage the timeframes of examination (regional and international trademarks), opposition and ownership claim procedures, to build on the practice of splitting the application, and to share practical experience on the assessment of the distinctiveness of a trade mark.
The training will also cover the assessment of similarity between signs and share best practices on the assessment of likelihood of confusion. Capacity building will concern the implementation of trademark examination tools (CESTO - Common Examiner Support Tool) and classifications (Nice, Vienna, TM class, TMview, etc.) and training on their use.
