Ġunju 11, 2021 Dwar l-EUIPO

‘We have seen an explosion of interest in intellectual property rights’

The Executive Director Christian Archambeau reports on the record filing numbers of the first months of 2021, with around 25% increase in EU trade mark applications.

This global trend is led by China, who has more than doubled its trade mark applications, but it is not the only factor. In his recorded address, Mr. Archambeau looks at the growth of EU trade marks from other parts of the world like Germany or the U.S.

He also takes stock of the SME initiatives which are experiencing as well a steady growth in demand from EU businesses, both for financial support and for pre-diagnostic services (IP scan).
