EDB forum

EDB Forum - A special occasion for right holders to encounter customs and police forces of the 28 EU Member States

After the success of the EDB Forum last year, a second edition of the Forum has been planned by the EUIPO for June 2016. This year's EDB Forum is dedicated to counterfeiting from the enforcement perspective. Customs and police officers, European Commission's representatives, Europol and the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) will be in attendance to give right holders an insight into their work and what information they need to identify fake products.

The event offers:

  • A conference on the latest enforcement trends
  • Parallel workshops on management of the information provided by right holders and risk profiling by the enforcers, with focus on enforcement in harbours and airports, enforcement in the internal market, digital enforcement and small consignments
  • An exhibition for companies to show enforcers how to recognise counterfeited goods and were to find the information in the Enforcement Database (EDB)
  • Meeting areas for one-to-one discussions between right holders and enforcers
  • Training sessions on EDB to help with keying-in of data
