Hurricane Irma – extension of time limits

The flooding and disruption caused by Hurricane Irma severely interrupted the normal course of business in the countries and regions in its path, and affected communications with the European Union.
In order to ensure that all affected users are able to continue to comply with pending time limits without the risk of losing rights, the Executive Director of the EUIPO has today signed a decision extending all time limits expiring between 5 September 2017 and 16 September 2017 inclusive to 20 October 2017 for all affected parties residing in or having a registered office in:
  • • The States of Florida, Georgia and South Carolina of the United States of America
  • • Cuba
  • • The Bahamas
  • • Puerto Rico
  • • Haiti
  • • The Dominican Republic
  • • The Turks and Caicos Islands
  • • Caribbean countries and territories pertaining to the Lesser Antilles
