European Cooperation: virtual “Technical Visits” with EU IP Offices.
The biannual European Cooperation technical visits will take place between 7 -29 September 2020, this time in a virtual format.
Technical visits are a key component of the collaborative work carried out between the EUIPO and the national and regional IP offices of the EU, which in turn benefits users, and helps to build a stronger IP system in the EU.
During the meetings, the EUIPO and 28 national intellectual property offices of the EU will discuss the progress of the various cooperation project implementations in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
On the agenda too will be the evaluation of the European Cooperation Projects carried out under the last Strategic Plan, as well as the common practices under acknowledgement and adoption for CP11 (New types of trade mark – Examination of formal requirements and grounds for refusal) and CP12 (Evidence in Trade Mark Appeal Proceedings).
The meetings are an important driver of the development and sustainability of the European Cooperation Projects within the SP2025.
The next round of technical visits will take place at the beginning of 2021.
