There are two forms that can be used for a European Union trade mark application.
Our design application allows you to upload static and 3D images with a drag-and-drop function. You can choose between one of two electronic formats — either our Four-step form with built-in guidance for Fast Track registration, or our Advanced form for more complex applications.
Before applying, you can also check our design filing tips and best practices so that you avoid making mistakes in the application.

The Goods and Services Builder is the reference tool used to create lists of terms. This section explains how to create, edit and manage lists of good and services, thereby saving you time on your next e-filing and, at the same time, guiding you to increase your usage of the Harmonised Database (HDB).
The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) provides online forms for requesting an inspection of documents relating to a European Union trade mark (EUTM) or registered Community design (RCD) registration or application, for requesting the renewal of an EU trade mark or RCD and for making entries to the Register (recordals). You can also delete or appoint a representative and request a conversion for an EU trade mark or international registration (IR) online. However, you must be logged in to use these facilities.
These actions are subject to a fee.
This feature allows you to verify the authenticity of certified copies generated online.
Enter the identification code appearing in the certified copy in the search field and click on the 'Check' button. The genuine copy will be displayed.
N.B.: The code is case-sensitive.
This option is available in the following cases:
- Where the application has already been published;
- In the case of an EU trade mark application form, where the trade mark has been applied for since 01/01/2008;
- In the case of an EU trade mark registration certificate, where the registration certificate has been issued since 01/01/2001;
- For certified copies of a Registered Community design registration certificate.
