The suspensions are explained in Article 9(4) and Article 71 EUTMDR and could be ex officio, unilateral requests and bilateral requests. The duration of the suspension based on negotiations, after 01/10/2017, ARE granted for 6 month periods with an overall maximum of 2 years, set out in Article 71(2) EUTMDR. Following Article 9(2) EUTMDR, except for under exceptional circumstances, the Office will not suspend the other proceedings.
