    This webinar will explore the interconnection between law and pop culture. The relation is twofold.

    On one hand, law and lawyers are the subjects of many films, television series and dramatic plays. Television and movies have been shaping the audience’s perception of the legal systems and its actors for many years and will continue to do so

    On the other hand, pop culture is expressed by works that are the subject of Intellectual Property rights, so in reality law does play an important role and it is not just fictional.

    This webinar will focus on Pop Culture with the objective of opening the audience’s eyes to this relatively new field of study. Furthermore, it aims to give an in depth understanding of the protectability of Pop Culture as trade marks of titles and character names and it will also look into the issues this raises.
