  • The Importance of IP Mediation: Advantages and Limitations


    The first webinar of the South - East Asia IP Mediation Workshop lays the groundwork for intellectual property mediation. Mr. Sven Stürmann , Chairperson of the 2nd Board of Appeal at the EUIPO and internationally accredited Mediator (CEDR), explains why this discipline is not very well understood and used enough to resolve conflicts in IP law, and describes its values and nature, including advantages and limitations

    To emphasize the importance of IP mediation as an effective approach to resolving IP disputes

  • EU Mediation Directive and the EUIPO Boards of Appeal ADR Service


    In the second webinar of the South-East Asia IP Mediation Workshop, Mr. Gordon Humphreys, Chairperson of the 1st Board of Appeal at the EUIPO and internationally accredited Mediator (CIArb), introduces the EU Mediation Directive and the EUIPO Boards of Appeal Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Service. In this light, he explains the beginning, the structure, and the functions of the ADR Service.

  • Important Role of the Mediator


    The third webinar of the South-East Asia IP Mediation Workshop presented by Mr. Sven Stürmann, Chairperson of the 2nd Board of Appeal at the EUIPO and internationally accredited Mediator (CEDR), is on the role of the mediator in resolving conflicts. He also discusses the soft skills and mediation techniques used in protecting business interests while accommodating the needs of both parties.

  • Mediation process, Persons Involved, and Information Disclosure


    The last webinar to close the South-East Asia IP Mediation Workshop covers the whole mediation process and all persons involved in the process. Mr. Gordon Humphreys, Chairperson of the 1st Board of Appeal at the EUIPO and internationally accredited Mediator (CIArb), also shares the steps, techniques, and best practices used during the pre-mediation period, on the mediation day, and during the post-mediation period.
