According to Decision No ADM 18-12 REV, at the beginning of the traineeship, trainees follow a 2-week training induction programme (EUIPO Trainees’ Orientation Programme). The induction programme provides trainees with basic information about the Office, the general rights and obligations during the traineeship and some information about living in the place of the traineeship.

After this webinar you will be aware of the ‘philosophy’ underlying the registration requirements for the new forms of marks (smells and tastes, sound marks, movements, multimedia marks, colour marks, shapes and surfaces and position marks).

You will also understand the difficulties that courts and authorities necessarily face when applying the specific rules governing the registration/exclusion of shapes and other product characteristics.
